Biography
I have been drawing since I was 4. In high school, I started painting murals in the art room and a few murals for teacher's homes. At age 21 I moved from Ocean County, NJ to Anaheim, CA where I started an outdoor furniture business with my father. During that time I began to paint murals & faux finish houses. That is an ongoing part of my art life. In 2007, I met a wonderful friend that asked me to help her with a children's book about a dog and his friends. With that I continued to explore a different form of art including digital programs like Adobe Photoshop and create my own templates for the book for editing and publishing. August of 2009 my college career began at the young age of 37. Nine and a half years later I had a BFA and MFA from Cal State Fullerton. Most of my focus was on painting. I learned techniques and the ways of teaching from my instructors. Today, I continue to paint original work, portraits, and commissions. Digitally I work with Adobe products and Huion Pro Pen Displays Recently I am taking classes to get my k-12 teaching credentials from Cal State Long Beach. |
